|The first European TV show presented by three reporters with Down syndrome is called “Without Prejudice” and it happens in the Romanian town of Cluj, at the heart of Romania.
It has been aired weekly by the local station affiliated to the Romanian public network TVR since October 2014.
Mihai Arsenie, Bogdan Cristea and Raluca Avram, the three Romanian reporters with Down syndrome have managed to bring to attention social issues and even change to better some of them in record time.
On the 2nd of December, after celebrating Romania’s National Day in New York, Mihai Arsenie (video above) went to the UN headquarters (photo below) to receive an award for the whole team.
On this occasion, he became the first European journalist with Down syndrome to be accredited with the UN.
The Global Recognition Award for “Good Practices for Employees with Disability” was offered by the Brazilian State Secretariat for Disabled Persons to promote good practices in employment and to mark 10 years since the signing of the Convention for the Rights of Disabled Persons.
