A World for Life Launches Its First International Pro-Life Creative Contest with €4,800 in Prizes

Romania for Life is launching A World for Life: an international competition with a pro-life theme, in which young artists from all over the world are invited to take part.
The theme of the competition is inspired by International Human Rights Day, celebrated annually on 10 December, to convey the message that the first and most important human right is the right to life, regardless of the stage of development at which that life finds itself – before birth, after birth or in old age.
Submissions are open until December 4, 2026. The contest offers €4,800 in prizes to encourage impactful work and bring together a new generation of pro-life creators.
A World for Life is an international initiative dedicated to promoting the value of human life, the dignity of every person, the importance of the family, and a culture of care and solidarity through art and creativity.
“Through international competitions, creative challenges, and collaborative projects, A World for Life aims to encourage a new generation of pro-life creators,” explains Teodora Diana Paul, the new president of the Bucharest-based Romania for Life Association.
The project is still in its early stages, even though the idea first emerged more than 10 years ago.
The goal is to create an online platform to promote the pro-life message through online banners and graphic messages featuring pro-life slogans translated into as many languages as possible, in order to highlight the international scope of the pro-life movement and reach as many people as possible with well-crafted messages.
“We’ve promoted the contest through our pro-life friends in Poland, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond. We want the announcement about this contest to reach as many people as possible, so they’ll participate,” says the young woman.
Three prizes are awarded for each of the four categories of the contest: Graphics, Animation, Short Film, and Creative Writing. The prizes are 500 euros for first place, 400 euros for second place, and 300 euros for third place.
“If we receive a large number of excellent works, we’ll be happy to talk with the artists, and even if they don’t win one of the prizes, we’ll be able to sign contracts to purchase their work and promote and use it in our pro-life efforts,” said Teodora Diana Paul.

5. Awards, Additional Opportunities and Jury Decisions
A World for Life Contest aims to recognize outstanding artistic work, build a community of pro-life creators, and encourage the development of compelling content that communicates the value of human life and dignity. We believe that creative expression can powerfully influence how people understand and engage with these issues.
Additional opportunities for outstanding works
The number of prizes in each category is limited, but opportunities for outstanding submissions are not. Works that do not receive a prize may still be recognized for their quality and potential impact.
A World for Life may approach creators of additional outstanding works with an offer to purchase their work for further use and distribution. Any purchase will require a separate agreement, and payment will not exceed the first prize value in the respective category (€500). Purchases are separate from contest prizes and subject to the creator’s agreement.
The jury’s discretion
The jury reserves the right not to award prizes in a category if submissions do not meet the required standards of quality and merit. Prizes are awarded based on submission quality, not the number of entries.
